Shrubs or small trees. Branchlets glabrous or tomentellous, soon glabrescent. Petiole 0.5--2.5 cm, without glands to rarely densely glandular in two rows; leaf blade narrowly elliptic to elliptic, 14--19 X 2--4.5 cm, subleathery, glabrous, base cuneate to broadly cuneate, margin glandular dentate, apex acuminate, lateral veins 10--17 pairs and adaxially impressed. Inflorescences a glomerule; bracts and bractlets persistent, 1--3 mm and 1--2 mm respectively, tomentose. Ovary ca. 1 mm, glabrous. Calyx lobes 1--2 mm, glabrous, margin ciliate. Corolla 4--5 mm. Stamens ca. 30. Disc cylindrical, ca. 1 mm, glabrous. Drupes cylindrical, 7--10 X ca. 3 mm. Fl. Jul-Oct, fr. Aug-Dec.
