Loxodonta africana (African Bush Elephant) is a species of mammals in the family Elephantidae. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Ethiopia. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 960 months and can grow to 1198.63 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
