Diceroprocta arizona is known from Arizona (U.S.A.). It is restricted to the Sonoran Desert, being found primarily in the Mexican Highland Section of the Basin and Range Province. Sanborn & Philips (2013) reported finding it associated with gray oak (Quercus grisea Liebmann). (Sanborn & Philips 2013)
