Cacama moorei is known only from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and extreme southeastern Nevada (U.S.A.) and Mexico. It is associated with Opuntia cacti. The song is a resonant oscillating whine. (Sanborn & Phillips 2013; Hill et al. 2015).
