Stenophorid gregarines, similar to Gregarinidae in that they have a simple epimerite; early development is intracellular; syzygy is caudofrontal, there is a moderate level of anisogamy; gametocysts have sporoducts; oocysts are elongate or cylindrical; they are however solitary; epimerite knob-like, gametocysts with several sporoducts; oocysts dolioform; one genus.
