Also recorded in SE Arabia (Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995). General distribution: tropical, Indo-west Pacific Ocean, depth range 0-30 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995); widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific Ocean from the Red Sea and Madagascar to Easter Island, and from Japan to Australia (Massin, 1996). Ecology: benthic, inshore, detritus feeder, deposit feeder (Rowe & Gates, 1995); from tide pools up to 45 m. Depth (Massin, 1996).
