Lontra longicaudis (La Plata Otter) is a species of mammals in the family Mustelidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Neotropics and The Nearctic. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals can grow to 600.05 mm. They rely on running to move around.
