Pteropus hypomelanus (Island Flying Fox) is a species of bats in the family Old World fruit bats. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Asia and Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands). They are crepuscular herbivores. Individuals can grow to 204.9 mm. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on flight to move around.
