Maximum longevity: 10 years
Observations: Gestation does not include a period of very slow development, which depends on the time of the year and can take up to 8 months, after which the rate of development increases and development is completed in about 3 months. Individuals have been known to live more than 10 years (Ronald Nowak 1999).
