Suncus murinus (Asian House Shrew) is a species of mammals in the family shrews. They are native to Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, China, the Palearctic, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, India, Asia, Japan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Myanmar. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 30 months and can grow to 126.36 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care and paternal care).
