Choeronycteris mexicana (Hog Nosed Bat) is a species of bats in the family New World leaf-nosed bats. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are native to The Neotropics and The Nearctic. They visit flowers of Agave macroacantha, Stenocereus stellatus, Pachycereus weberi, and Pilosocereus chrysacanthus. They are nocturnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 66 mm. They rely on flight to move around.
