Threats are mainly from human impacts on the parks, for example: erosion following human traffic, increased visitation, habitat degradation and development of walking tracks and other tourist facilities.Increased occurrences of wildfire are also a threat.Conservation MeasuresAll populations occur within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Plans for wildfire management and cool controlled burning have been developed.
