Location: Mojave and Sonoran deserts of southeastern California, southern Nevada, western Arizona and northwest Mexico
Elevation: below 1,500 feet
Description:A bright and colorful plant that grows in bunches from March-October. Flowers are bright pink. Desert Sand Verbena is found sandy flats, dunes and desert roadsides. Short, hairy annual wildflowers with leaves are oval with wavy edges that are up to 1 ½ inches long. Sand Verbena are 4 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide.
