Goldenrod Gall Moth

Epiblema scudderiana, the goldenrod gall moth, is a species of tortricid moth in the family Tortricidae.^[1][2][3][4] As their common name suggests, they do feed on and form galls on goldenrod stems. To overwinter the caterpillars line the inside of their galls with silk before going into diapause.^[5]

Epiblema scudderiana es una especie de polilla del género Epiblema, familia Tortricidae.^[1]​ Fue descrita científicamente por Clemens en 1860.

Tiene una envergadura de 20 a 22 mm. Cuando en reposo, las alas se pliegan alrededor del cuerpo en forma de cilindro. Forma agallas en tallos de Solidago.^[2]​

Distribución

Se encuentra en Norteamérica y Canadá.^[1]​
