Pronotum with or without suprahumeral horns; posterior process extending over, but not concealing, scutellum. Forewing vein R2+3 fused basally with 4+5 (exception: some Microcentrus lynx); 2 r-m crossveins present (exception: Microcentrus webbi with 3-4 r-m crossveins). Male abdominal segment IX with discrete lateral plate bearing posteroapical hook.
