Adiantum is a genus of herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, US Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Western North America, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Canada. Individuals can grow to 11 m. They have alternation of generations.
