This rather big ant (12-13mm) came out of large hole in the soil; I newer saw more than one coming out. A constricted gaster (abdomen) is typical for the subfamily Ponerinae.These ants are not able to climb smooth surfaces like glass. They are rather passive and sting only upon lots of stress. Genus:
