Diceroprocta cinctifera limpia is known from Texas (U.S.A.), where it is found in the Rio Grande Limpa creek tributary system. Sanborn & Phillips (2013) reported finding D. cinctifera limpia calling in cottonwood (Populus spp.), Acacia spp., and mesquite (Prosopis spp.). (Sanborn & Phillips 2013).
