Trochocyathus subgen. Aplocyathus Orbigny 1850

Aplocyathus is a subgenus of cnidarians in the family caryophylliid corals. Dead Aplocyathus form shallow marine sediments. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
