Montipora cryptus is a species of cnidarians in the family staghorn corals. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Montipora cryptus form shallow marine sediments. Montipora cryptus form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
