Polyphyllia novaehiberniae (Slipper Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Fungiidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Slipper Coral form shallow marine sediments. Slipper Coral form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care.
