Dendrogyra cylindrus (Pillar Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Meandrinidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Pillar Coral form shallow marine sediments. Pillar Coral form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
