Goniastrea edwardsi (Lesser Star Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Lesser Star Coral form shallow marine sediments. Lesser Star Coral form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
