Cyphastrea microphthalma (Lesser Knob Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Lesser Knob Coral form shallow marine sediments. Lesser Knob Coral form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 286 µm. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
