Platygyra sinensis (Milne Edwards & Haime 1849)

Platygyra sinensis (Brain Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Brain Coral form shallow marine sediments. Brain Coral form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 395 µm. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
