Porites cylindrica (Stony Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Poritidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Stony Coral form shallow marine sediments. Stony Coral form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 250 µm. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have parental care (symbiont inheritance). They are sessile animals.
