Pseudoreaster obtusangulus is a species of sea stars in the family Orestieridae. It is the sole species in the genus Pseudoreaster.[1] It is found in the eastern Indian Ocean, on the west coast of Australia.[2][3]

Also distributed in north Australia (Clark & Rowe (1971) and Rowe & Gates (1995)). Ecology: benthic, inshore. General distribution: tropical, endemic in Australia, depth range 0-9 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
