Urosticte benjamini (Purple Bibbed Whitetip) is a species of birds in the family hummingbirds. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are found in The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Besleria solanoides, Renealmia sessilifolia, Palicourea sodiroi, and Guzmania amplectens. They rely on flight to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
