Acrosterigma transcendens (Melvill & Standen 1899)

Acrosterigma transcendens is a species of mussels in the family Cardiidae. They are native to Zululand, Mascarene Islands, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Sri Lankan Exclusive Economic Zone, Philippines Exclusive Economic Zone, Mozambique Channel, Japanese Exclusive Economic Zone, Seychelles, Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone, and Singapore. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 19.4 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
