Hippopus porcellanus (China Clam) is a species of mussels in the family Cardiidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 40 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.

Permits or certificates should only be granted if the relevant authorities are satisfied that certain conditions are met, above all that trade will not be detrimental to the survival of the species in the wild.
