Asymmetrical, ovoid to elongate spores with 2 thin-walled, unequal valves. Two or 4 very small polar capsules together in the anterior apex. Trophozoites disporous to tetrasporous. Coelozoic in urinary tract and histozoic in marine and anadromous fishes.
