Argopatagus A. Agassiz, 1879 and Phrissocystis A. Agassiz, 1898 are similar in all respects other than that Argopatagus has a subanal fasciole whereas Phrissocystis does not. Mortensen (1950: p. 222) suggested that these two might be synonymous, but kept them separate pending further investigation.
