Habitat: Sand, white sand, fine sand, rock. Species often cryptofaunic or amongst Pyura, sometimes washed upon shore amongst Laminaria roots. Juveniles found in association with Ciona under stones at low tide (Thandar, 1990). Distribution: Luderitz (Namibia) to False Bay, depth range 0-70 m. (Thandar, 1990).
