Mesoplodon peruvianus (Lesser Beaked Whale) is a species of mammals in the family Unidentified Ziphiidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Pacific Ocean and The Neotropics. They are carnivores. Individuals can grow to 6.2 m. They rely on lift powered swimming to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
