Anguilla rostrata (American Eel) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family freshwater eels. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and as threatened by COSEWIC. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Atlantic Ocean and The Nearctic. Individuals can grow to 152 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
