Moderately elongate moray with: mottled brown coloration, posterior jaw pores in white spots; dorsal-fin origin before gill openings; four infraorbital pores, one branchial pore; outer teeth serrate, maxillary teeth in two short rows, and vomerine teeth biserial; and mean vertebral formula (MVF) 5-55-130.
