Lampanyctus alatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.

Morfologia

Depredadors

És depredat per Pseudopentaceros wheeleri,[6] Astronesthes similus (a Mèxic), Lagenodelphis hosei (Filipines) i Stenella longirostris (Filipines).[7]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 40-1.500 m de fondària.[4][8]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a l'Atlàntic oriental (des de Portugal fins a Sud-àfrica),[9][10][11] a l'Atlàntic occidental (des del Canadà[12] fins al Golf de Mèxic,[13][14] i des del Brasil a l'Argentina), a l'Índic,[15] al Pacífic occidental (des de Taiwan[16][17] fins a Austràlia)[18][19] i al Mar de la Xina Meridional.[20][21][22][23][4][24][25]
