Lucigadus nigromaculatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 34 cm de llargària total.^[5][6]

Depredadors

A Austràlia és depredat per Cyttus traversi, Macruronus novaezelandiae^[7] i Helicolenus percoides.^[8]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 200-1463 m de fondària,^[9] tot i que, normalment, ho fan entre 400-800.^[5]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al sud d'Austràlia,^{[10][11][12][13]} Nova Zelanda^[14][15] i Xile.^[16][5]

The blackspotted grenadier or blackspot rattail, Lucigadus nigromaculatus, is a rattail, one of seven in the genus Lucigadus. It is found around southern Australia, New Zealand, and Chile, at depths of between 400 and 1,400 m. This species length is between 15 and 30 cm.

Lucigadus nigromaculatus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van rattenstaarten (Macrouridae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1907 door McCulloch.
