Found in the continental slope (Ref. 1371). Many specimens taken from a whale stomach (Ref. 1371). Gut content of a 3.86 cm SL specimen contained a large number of grasping spines of arrow worms (Chaetognatha spp.), while a 4.01 cm SL specimen contained 6 individuals of the copepod Metridia pacifica (Ref. 87085).
