Sphoeroides nephelus és una espècie de peix de la família dels tetraodòntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.
Morfologia
Alimentació
Menja marisc i peixos.[6]
Hàbitat
És un peix de clima subtropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 0-11 m de fondària.[4][7]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a l'Atlàntic occidental: des del nord-est de Florida, el nord del Golf de Mèxic i les Bahames fins a Campeche (Mèxic) i les Petites Antilles.[4][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
