Synchiropus splendidus (Mandarinfish) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family dragonets. They are native to Pacific Ocean, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), and Asia. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 7.0 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They rely on swimming to move around.
