Highbrow Blenny

Dark spot between membranes of 1st 2 dorsal spines; females with spotted anal fin, uniformly dusky in males; body banded and spotted; 2 dusky spots anterior to pelvic fins (Ref. 4404).

Oviparous, distinct pairing (Ref. 205).

Oviparous. Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205), and are attached to the substrate via a filamentous, adhesive pad or pedestal (Ref. 94114). Larvae are planktonic, often found in shallow, coastal waters (Ref. 94114).

Hirculops cornifer, the highbrow rockskipper, is a species of combtooth blenny found in the western Indian ocean. This species reaches a length of 6 centimetres (2.4 in) SL. This species is the only known member of its genus.
