Description: Characterized by white to pale grey body color; 6-7 brown or yellow-brown stripes; middle of caudal fin base with prominent black spot; greatest depth of body 2.8-3.3 in SL (Ref. 90102).

Solitary or in pairs. Often on steep slopes in crevices and caves in 10-70 m (Ref 90102).
