Costertonia is a mesophilic genus of bacteria from the family of Flavobacteriaceae with one known species (Costertonia aggregata).^[2]^[1]^[3]^[4]^[5] The genus Costertonia is named after the American microbiologist J.W. Costerton.^[6]
