Description of Psammonobiotus

Test: flask-shaped, oval in cross-section with hemispherical base, pseudostome at approximately 90° to long axis, large hyaline collar. Filopodia, alveolar nucleus (P. minutus). Shell transparent, composed of flat and few larger attached mineral particles. Habitat: fresh water and marine interstitial. Type species: Psammonobiotus communis Golemansky, 1967.
