Echinops sphaerocephalus (Chapman's H Oney Plant) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Alfalfa Leafcutter Bee, Buff-tailed bumblebee, Megachile lagopoda, and Scolia hirta. Individuals can grow to 1 m.
