Helianthus giganteus (Giant Sunflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Atalopedes huron, German Wasp, Halictus ligatus, and Andrena aliciae. Individuals can grow to 3 m.
