Senecio vulgaris (Groundsel) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to South Korea, Russia, Hungary, France, Yugoslavia, Belarus, Austria, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Libya, Poland, Norway, Germany, China, Ireland, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Estonia, Albania, North Korea, Spain, Greece, Denmark, Tunisia, Italy, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Portugal, Lithuania, Georgia, Iran, Moldova, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Iceland, Morocco, Algeria, and Romania. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Colletes daviesanus, Cheilosia bergenstammi, Lasioglossum lineare, and Anthophora bimaculata. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
