Hadoa duryi (formerly Tibicen duryi; see Hill et al. 2015) is known from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah (U.S.A.) and Mexico It has been recorded from chaparral, Chihuahuan Desert, Mexican Highland Section of the Sonoran Desert, and intermountain woodlands and can be locally abundant. The species is only found with piñon pine (Pinus edulis) or Mexican piñon pine (Pinus cembroides). (Sanborn & Phillips 2013; Hill et al. 2015).
The song of this species is a complex warbling buzz (Hill et al. 2015).
