Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) is a species of perennial herb in the family Urticaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Alaska, Western North America, United States, Canada, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Lorquin's Admiral, Rhingia campestris, Scathophagia stercoraria, and Cheilosia variabilis.
